Category/Product Page Concepts

These are concept designs for the category and product pages of samsung.com/us. I tried to simply all of the content on the page by making the layout modular and hiding secondary pieces of information. However, that information could be revealed through interactive methods such as scrolling modules and sections that expand.

Sentinel Salvaged

This project is a redesign of a game I created with two of my friends last year. It is a physics game that promps users to build there own tower out of piles of junk items. The idea was based off of a controversial sculpture on RIT's campus called the Sentinel. My role so far has been to design every aspect of the site.

Inner Monster

This is a proof of concept for a mobile game targeted toward a teenage market. It is intended to be an arcade style fighting game that centers around the story of a teenager wrestling with the monsters in his head. The basis of the project is to show my ability to create illustrative assets and to overcome the challenges of designing for a smaller screen.

Socialaser

This project represents my part in a final team project at RIT. Our team came up with an idea that combines the use of a touch table and a laser projector to create a small scale concert experience. My primary role has been to create the logo and some of the background visualizers. For a more detailed description head over to our blog.

Firstborn Challenge

This is my response to a challenge Firstborn made to RIT New Media Design and Development students at RIT. The challenge for designer's was to take a printed article then translate and improve it in a digital format. I chose an article out of Hi Fructose and made a concept for a widget that focuses on the interaction between the user and the imagery.

Audio Visualizer

These are images from a music visualizer I created using the open source programming language Processing. All of the imagery is drawn based on the fast fourier transform (FFT) data taken from an audio track which results in a dynamic and immersive experience.

Mind Mapping

This is an abstract animation based on the idea of mind mapping. I took inspiration from MK12 and the visual effects they did for Quantum of Solace after watching their presentation at FITC 2009. I tried to match the graphics and their transitions with the sound effects to add interest and make the piece more immersive.
